The Reserve's Paths

For those who love trekking or simply desire a regenerating walk, the Reserve offers three main routes:

• The Coastal Path: The most popular and accessible, it connects the San Vito Lo Capo entrance to the Scopello entrance in about two hours of walking (one way). It is the ideal route for those who want to reach the coves.
• The Mid-Coast Path: More panoramic and challenging, it offers breathtaking views of the entire Gulf of Castellammare.
• The High Path: Reserved for expert hikers, it crosses holm oak forests and grazing areas, offering absolute silence and a dominant perspective over the territory.

The Coves: Where the sea is bluer

Along the coastal path, seven natural pearls open up. Starting from the North entrance (San Vito Lo Capo side), the first one you encounter is Cala Tonnarella dell'Uzzo, the largest and most frequented. Continuing, you will discover more intimate corners like Cala dell'Uzzo, Cala Marinella, and Cala Berretta, where the transparency of the water allows you to observe the seabed even from the shore.

Practical Tips for the Visit

To fully enjoy the Zingaro, it is essential to arrive prepared:

1. Water and Food: There are no refreshment points inside the Reserve. It is essential to bring an abundant supply of water with you.

    

2. Clothing: Trekking or sports shoes with good grip are mandatory. Absolutely avoid flip-flops for the walk.

    

3. Hours: In summer, the ideal is to enter at opening (8:00 AM) to avoid the hottest hours and enjoy the coves in solitude.
